Welcome back to my blog series about my experience with Exodus 90. As a quick update, this is actually the ninth post in the series, so if you’re just joining us, be sure to check out the previous posts to get caught up on my journey.
This week has been a particularly challenging one for me. My discipline slippage had been building all week in anticipation of my weekend trip to visit family. By the time Friday hit, which was my travel day, it completely fell off. I broke almost every single one of my disciplines and felt really bad about it.
However, it wasn’t until my return trip home on Sunday that I started to regain my discipline. I realized that hitting rock bottom on my disciplines was actually a valuable lesson. It reminded me that this journey is not about perfection but progress, and that every misstep is an opportunity to learn and grow.
I found solace in the fact that I had already established these disciplines and that I knew how to get back on track. I reminded myself that there was nowhere to go but up from there and that I was more motivated than ever to recommit to my goals.
Since my return trip, I have been working hard to rebuild my habits and strengthen my self-discipline. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. Every day, I’m learning more about myself, my faith, and what I’m capable of when I put my mind to something.
Overall, this past week has been a humbling experience for me, but it’s also been a valuable one. It’s reminded me that even when we fall short of our expectations, there is always hope for redemption and growth. I look forward to continuing to share my journey with Exodus 90 in the weeks to come and hope that you’ll join me for the ride.
